On May 30, 2018, it was reported that Hongsheng Food Co., Ltd. in Laocheng Town, Changge City could not stop feeding and resting pigs for up to 12 hours according to the national regulations. On the same day, the law enforcement personnel of the Xuchang Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Comprehensive Law Enforcement Detachment conducted a surprise inspection of the company. After on-site video surveillance and inspection of the pig slaughter registration book, it was found that the company did not meet the national standard of 12 to 24 hours when the natural pigs entered the factory for slaughter. The illegal act of slaughtering live pigs by Hongsheng Food Co., Ltd. in Laocheng Town, Changge City, which does not comply with the national operating procedures and technical requirements, violates the relevant provisions of Article 11 of the Regulations on the Management of Pig Slaughtering. The law enforcement personnel of Xuchang Animal Husbandry Bureau imposed an administrative penalty of RMB 35000 on Changge Laocheng Hongsheng Food Co., Ltd. in accordance with the law.
